The deHavilland Beaver is the workhorse of the coast.
The newest of them is 43 years old and there are hundreds around that are much older.
This is the plane I took from Thetis Island to Vancouver on November 11.
As of today, Thursday, Nov. 18 at 2:00 p.m. I'm on a train hurtling across southern Ontario. I've left the The Canadian and I'm on train 44 travelling from Toronto to Ottawa. If The Canadian was as fast as this train we'd have done the journey from Vancouver in two days.

Something tells me, that like most things, planes built back then were much better built than now!!!
