Waiting For The Green

The stables are in Stanley Park and the route these guys would have taken is mostly parkland.

Downtown Vancouver is a peninsula and Granville St. is one of many streets that connect one side with the other.

You have a beautiful city. We were there a couple of weeks ago arriving on the Rocky Mountaineer from Banff. Next day we went up Grouse Mountain and walked over the Capilano Bridge. I'll be beck!

Hi Bill,
I followed your adventures on the blog. I haven't been up Grouse Mountain in decades and I have never been to the Capilano Suspension Bridge. :-)
Let me know if you make it back this way.

Are they police riders? The dappled horses are very unusual, must be a special breed, never seen them before.

Yes Jenny, they're city cops.

I think the horses are called dappled, possibly roans but I think a roan is slightly different.

There is something very friendly about cops on horses - somehow they seem more approachable. Maybe that is the power of animals.
