Hey, Wayne - I very rarely skim the whole portal but I happened to do it today and found that you were back on. I assume that you worked out your problems with the authorities.
This looks desolate and it's emphasized by your composition. Reminds me of the big, horrid, totally-failed Pruitt-Igoe project here that was spectacularly blown up 25 or 30 years ago.
Hi Bob, I noticed other blogs without city names in their title so I re-submitted mine. This time it was accepted.
The Olympic Village is still a top news story here. There is no question that it's a prime location. One day, maybe a few years from now, it will be fully occupied. The only question is, 'how much will it cost the taxpayer in the meantime?"

Too expensive I guess?
Not all of the Olympic memories wear well over time. Your perspective with the brown grasses makes it look desolate.

This is a very depressing shot against that sky. I like it.
I'm LOL at Bird!!! :)
Well it looks abandoned to me and what's that on the roof on the right, armed soldiers?? I don't have a good feeling about this place.

Virg beat me to it. These look like some bombed out buildings in Serbia, with sharpshooters standing guard.

I ownder if the same will happen in London 2012?
My first thought when I saw this was that the buildings were abandoned and waiting for demolition...not a good omen for condo sales!!!
