Kodak Viewpoint

Public Art Day appears to have survived the recent restructuring here at MIL.

It's been a long time since I visited any Disneylands. Back when I did I can remember signs posted here and there indicating that this or that spot was a Kodak Viewpoint.

If Vancouver had Kodak Viewpoints this would be one of them. I can't even imagine how many bizillion shapshots must have been taken of the Crab in the fountain outside the Vancouver Museum and H.R. MacMillan Planetarium.

Artist: George A. Norris

I love this crab! The metal and the water make real Kodak moment for sure. Thanks for the reminder, I'd have been late for church just like last year!!

Looks like a potential setting for a sci-fi movie.

This is a terrific sculpture, fountain--I like looking into the background and seeing even more! And I love visiting your site to see what avatar you are using. It's proof you aren't stuck in a rut nor should you give up posting! :)

I love this fellow and must agree, it's a photo worthy sight.

Having grown up a mile down the street from The Magic Kingdom, I do remember those Kodak picture points. I haven't been to this museum and will have to look it up. I think you got a very nice shot of this shiny sculpture. I'm glad to see sunshine glinting off of anything, including art. :-)
So today your avatar is Howdy Doody. . .now we are getting way back to my earliest memories of watching my older brother watch TV and telling me to pipe down in the peanut gallery.
Oh, and today is one of those Sunday's I'm really glad I go to the 5PM service, but thanks for the reminder!
My word verification is "hedug," referring to the crab, I think :-).
