End Of The Crawl

Above. A back yard studio. This is the second such studio I have become aware of in the neighbourhood in the last few weeks. Which leads me to conclude that such studios are more common than I would have thought.

I say neighbourhood, in fact the galleries participating in the event sprawl across two or three neighbourhoods.

Fair Warning

Below. There are a number of cafés and coffee shops along the way where gallery crawlers were able to stop and rest. Some locations, such as Union Market, had live music.

I didn't get to see a fraction of the galleries and artists' work that I might have if I had started on Friday. Next year I'll set aside all three days.

I knew of a few of these artists before this event. I've met and spoken with a couple of them before. But I had no idea there were so many artists, 300 in this event, working on the east side. And I live here!

I hope it wasn't too boring for the rest of you.

Oh no, not boring at all. Share some more if you want to. I am thrilled to hear of such a vibrant arts scene in Vancouver. I have been enjoying similar in Toronto and am happy to know I'll not be missing out when we get to move to Vancouver. Thank you for sharing.

Vancouver just gets cooler and cooler. I knew I loved that city but I really want to go back and check out the art scene there.

More art tours, WW!

Boring? Far from it! I wish I'd been there.

It was brilliant, Wayne. It must have been amazing to visit the studios.
In fact there are lots of artists living and working round here, wonder if they'd like the idea...

Thanks for the tour. When's the next crawl?

I went to a Christmas even in my town yesterday...and there was a tree decorated evidently just for you. It stopped me in my tracks.
