Big Rusty Hunk Of Metal


It's Public Art Day one again. 

The Gate To The Northwest Passage is located in Vanier Park. This view is toward a part of the west end.

I like this one a lot, Wayne. Doesn't it look like a portal to another dimension? If you walk right under it, a bunch of kaleidescopic lights will swirl around and you'll be sucked into a vortex that transports you to another time...

Or maybe it's just a piece of sculpture...

There was no hurry! You could have stayed the lecherous dwarf for as long as you wanted to!!! My dress was a tad tight and i needed to get out of it!
I like that wonky piece of sculture too. You've got some cool art up there in the hinterlands!

As one member of the selection panel said, "If people think Hung's sculpture is a poor catch, they should have seen the ones that got away." Actually, I like the 'La Defense' see-through look. Would have been a great project to work on when I was in welding school.

I think the title says it all! You don't like it, do you? :-) :-) I don't find it fabulous but it looks great on a green lawn.
