What you've captured so beautifully is a genuine Bleeding Heart, a heart-shaped wild flower that lifts its skirts to dance up and down the northern west coast, usually about a month earlier than it is appearing this year. I have a few volunteers, along with a few Columbines that like a certain shady part of the garden.
